Let me ask you this…
Then get ready for a life changing encounter with the living God!
Denver House of Prayer desires to see the manifest presence of God in our services. We are a vibrant Christian church committed to impact the community of Denver for Jesus Christ our Lord. We don’t believe in religious services just to make us ‘feel better,’ but desire to experience the power of God by creating an atmosphere for the Spiritual-gifts to move freely.
Pastor Carl and Amy want to see you fulfill God’s plan for your life! They have been called to Denver for that very purpose. But without you, DHOP will never be able to fulfill its mission. That’s why we invite you to come visit us! Each service ends with an opportunity for personal prayer because we want you to overcome obstacles preventing you from seeing God’s best in your life. God is a “good God” and we want you to fulfill your destiny. God has the power to break addiction, provide physical healing or financial breakthrough in your life and it’s our job to help you overcome these hindrances.
We follow a three-step plan to ensure your Christian success:
We currently offer weekly services for not only the local community but people visiting from out of town. You can click on ‘Services’ (above), to find out the latest time and location. We would love to have you join us!
We actively support various missionaries overseas because we believe in Christ’s great commission to spread the Gospel worldwide. We also support local missions in the Downtown Denver area with our ‘annual coat drive’ in the month of February and continued outreach events in collaboration with ‘Treasure House of Hope,’ and ‘There with Care.’ We also offer various conferences on an ongoing basis to empower believers outside the church walls. This includes our “Flex Your Spiritual Muscles” course which trains believers in activating the spiritual gifts so they can confidently move in them, outside the church walls. We also periodically hit the streets of downtown Denver (in teams of 2-3) to minister to the homeless and others who are less fortunate than ourselves.
Our objective is to preach the Gospel to the lost. We also provide ongoing study and growth for all members of our church to fulfill their God-given potential. We believe it is crucial that each church member realizes they are a minister of the Gospel and are responsible for sharing Christ with others. We also encourage church members to move in the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit in accordance with God’s Word.
We believe it is imperative to equip leaders to demonstrate the righteousness of God in power and in Spirit. Once leaders understand their righteousness in Christ, they become empowered to do the works of Jesus.
Although ‘power’ and ‘gifting’ are appealing, we know that without ‘character,’ God will not utilize us to our full potential because He must be able to trust us. Our primary focus will always be ‘Godly character’ before spiritual ‘power’ or ‘gifting.’ Our teachings will challenge you to apply your faith in various areas of your life. You have a part to play in the outcome of God’s perfect will, coming to pass. We also offer one-on-one discipleship, group bible studies and fellowship opportunities to foster growth and build community.
Denver House of Prayer is committed to Jesus Christ and His kingdom. To this end, we believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Holy Scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16, 17). The Bible is God’s infallible Word, the believer’s guide, and the final authority for both faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16, 17). Every facet of our lives, and the lives of our team members, must submit to the divine authority of God’s Holy Word. We recognize that in order to maximize our Christian witness, our private lives must be consistent with our public testimonies. Hence, our primary goal must be to please God and be acceptable to Him in our character, conduct and worship.
