Atheism is Denial
Here’s a teaching snippet:
“Heywood Brown once said, “Nobody talks so constantly about God as those who insist that there is no God.” Today we will discuss one little word and that word is atheism. Now, Atheism has been defined as, ‘the dogmatic denial of the existence of God’ or more specifically ‘a personal God.’ There’s a mindset that Atheism is merely choosing not to believe in God or there’s no such thing as God because mankind has yet to provide any tangible evidence for His existence. The trouble is, scripture makes it very clear in the Book of Romans that this mindset is really a symptom of a rebellious heart because God has revealed Himself through two branches, namely His creation and our conscience, so that man is without excuse for acknowledging Almighty God’s existence. I’m sure you’re familiar with this passage regarding God’s creation, but let me read it to you, Romans 1:20, 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” Who’s they?…That’s us!” – Pastor Carl
