The Majestic Human Body

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“Did you know you are the crowning achievement or pinnacle of God’s creation, which is the supernatural tripartite infusion of spirit, soul and body? As I’ve said before, our spirit man contacts the spiritual realm, our soul is able to access the intellectual realm and our human body contacts the physical realm. Our focus today is the majestic physical body. Now, how could anyone in their right mind claim the human body with its 206 bones and 639 muscles could have possibly spawned from an ‘algae’ in a fish pond…are you kidding me? But of course, those that make this false claim of ‘particle to person’ are blinded to the truth of the Gospel by Satan himself. They’re unable to receive God’s truth concerning our Genesis as a consequence of their own blindness. God’s word literally reveals this in 2 Corinthians 4:4, where it says 4 ‘In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.’– Pastor Carl

Should women be in ministry?

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“Gentlemen, it’s time to close your ears because we’re talking to the ladies today and more specifically about a woman’s role in the ministry. All joking aside, in truth gents you need to hear this broadcast too because we’re often the ones guilty of discriminating against women in ministry, so we need to perk up and listen intently to this message. Now some conservative denominations think women should just keep quiet in church and forget about the ministry altogether and they use two of the Apostle Paul’s statements to back this up; namely 1st Corinthians 14:34 and 1st Timothy 2:12. However, we must study scripture in context and in light of its Geographical and Historical setting, for accurate interpretation. Remember, ‘context determines meaning’ and we would be amiss to ignore these important and pertinent contexts when reading these controversial passages.” – Pastor Carl

Noah’s Flood

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“Noah’s flood was real; hands down it was a fact, not a ‘story’ as many secularists often couch it. What you really believe that Pastor? I mean come on eight people get on a boat with a whole bunch of animals for 370 days, are you kidding me? Well, 1st Peter 3:20 reveals categorically that eight people did indeed board the ark and God’s word is true no matter what the critics might say. Yes friend, there are boats far larger and heavier than Noah’s Ark sailing the oceans today. They also take advantage of God’s ideal ‘length to breadth ratio’ of 6.5 times as long as wide, being the optimum choice for the buoyancy of vessels, as Noah’s ark demonstrated. Noah’s global flood was most assuredly an historical event and the fossil record ‘shouts’ and ‘screams’ of an archaic, cataclysmic and worldwide deluge. But believe it or not, there are even some Christians who don’t believe Noah’s flood was real either. So I’m going to clear up some of these doubts in this broadcast today.” – Pastor Carl

The Rapture – Part 3

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“We continue to today with Part 3 of our topic of the ‘rapture of the church’ and this will be my second to last message on the subject or at least for now. The ‘pre-tribulation rapture’ is an integral doctrine of the New Testament and one which has come under a lot of attack recently, hence the reason for this broadcast. To recap, the church (or ekklesia -‘the called out ones,’) will not see the antichrist because we’re the very restraining force that withholds his appearing. Once we’re removed from the earth however, the Antichrist is able to manifest and embarks upon a seven year peace treaty (or one week) with Israel to commence the tribulation period (Daniel 9:27). As I’ve stated previously, this ‘mystery of iniquity’ cannot come to full fruition until we the church have been removed. However, once we’re gone, the entire earth’s population will be subject to mass deception or ‘strong delusion’ because God will cause them to believe a lie, having chosen to deny the Gospel in this dispensation. So where exactly did this ‘mystery of iniquity’ come from?” – Pastor Carl

The Rapture – Part 1

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“Now, we at DHOP believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, who’s coming to receive His beloved bride in the air, prior to the seven year tribulation period, which is soon to come upon this earth. Eight times in the New Testament we’re admonished to look for the soon return of Jesus Christ. However at no time is the church instructed to look for the Antichrist. We’re looking for Jesus, not the Antichrist, because the church will never see the Antichrist! We will in fact be long gone before he arrives upon the scene, so I hope you’re not too disappointed in hearing this news. Isaiah Chapter 24 describes ‘the great and terrible Day of the Lord,’ which will only be experienced by those who’ve rejected Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, during this dispensation of grace. First Thessalonians 1:9-10 describes how we the church will be delivered from ‘God’s wrath to come,’ which is the great and terrible tribulation period, described in the Book of Revelation.” – Pastor Carl

The spirit within and the spirit upon

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“I’m going to talk to you today about the Holy Spirit and His operation within this dispensation of Grace, better known as the ‘Church age,’ in contrast to how He used to operate in the Old Testament. We know from scripture that when anyone is ‘born again’ by God’s Spirit and ‘baptized into Christ Jesus,’ the Holy Spirit dwells within that person. However, in Old Testament times; scripture says the Spirit of the Lord would ‘come upon’ people but never permanently resided within them. His manifestation was both selective and temporary. However in this New Testament dispensation, things are very different. We have now been redeemed by Christ’s blood and have permanent access to the Holy Spirit’s indwelling presence. In scripture the Holy Spirit is sometimes described as ‘water’, ‘oil’ or even a ‘dove.’ So water is often one of several ‘types’ of the Holy Spirit in the Holy Writ. By receiving Christ into your heart you have access to an eternal spring of life, residing deep within you.” – Pastor Carl

Persistence in Prayer (Luke 18)

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“Today I’d like to talk about prayer but particularly, ‘persistence’ in prayer. You know the ‘old timers’ would often declare, “We need to storm the gates of heaven, bind Satan and pray until God hears you.” Well I believe there’s some truth in that statement; however, much has been said down the years regarding persistence in prayer and sometimes for the wrong reasons. Having studied the scriptures for a little bit; I firmly believe that God’s ability to intervene in our lives is greatly impacted by our personal prayer life or lack thereof. This may seem an obvious statement but let me put it to you another way; I truly believe Gods ability to move in our lives can be ‘restricted’ by our prayer life. Therefore, if we’re not diligent in some areas, we can miss out on seeing God’s best come to pass in our lives. Firstly, we have to realize that God’s not deaf. He hears us the first time when we ask Him for something. When Jesus said in Matt 7:7 and Luke 11:19, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you,” he wasn’t urging us to repeat the same petition over and over again. He was stressing that we need to be persistent in our intentions when it comes to prayer and don’t quit until we get an answer.” – Pastor Carl

The history of the King James Bible

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“William Tyndale was strangled and burned for translating the Bible into English…why? Because he made the bold declaration to a Catholic clergyman that, “If God will spare my life, ere many years pass, I will cause a boy that drives the plow, shall know more of the Scripture than you do.” Tyndale was born on the Welsh Border between England and Wales in 1494. This brave man was of course the first to translate the New Testament into English from the original Greek text. We owe so much to William Tyndale because Tyndale’s Biblical translation accounts for an astonishing 84% of the New Testament and more than 75% of the Old Testament, compared to the King James Bible. When King James XI of Scotland became the King of England and adopted the name ‘James the first,’ in 1611, the ‘King James Bible’ was finally instigated. He commissioned 47 scholars to scour the original Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic texts, translating the Bible to the best of their ability. The very best translators, scribes and scholars were employed, taking advantage of more than 5,556 manuscripts available at the time. ‘The King James Bible’ was the crowning achievement of the Protestant Reformation and remains the paragon of all Bible translations to this very day because the underlying Greek text differs from all other ‘Modern Translations.'” – Pastor Carl

Testing vs. Trial

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“Did you know that God tests us and it’s scriptural for Him to do so? There’s a tendency for some Christians to think every kind of opposition in their life is ‘from the devil,’ when in fact it could be the Lord refining, chastening or correcting their character issues which need to be addressed. Not every opposition is ‘a work of the devil.’ Yes we need to be cognizant of our enemy’s schemes and devices certainly but we’re also in a perpetual process of being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. We need to know the difference between God’s ‘testing’ and Satan’s ‘trials’ or ‘sifting.’ We must be scripturally balanced and realize that after we’re born again and saved by faith in Christ, we automatically enter into a process of sanctification. During this process God purges away our old habits, so that we’re able to experience more freedom in Christ and finally conquer habitual sin in our lives. Because our God loves us so much, He won’t leave us in our current condition.” – Pastor Carl

The Dangers of Transhumanism

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“There’s a strange movement today that seeks eternal life without going through the Savior. This movement seeks to utilize the very latest technologies to enhance man under the banner of ‘Transhumanism.’ Now why on earth is a Pastor even talking about this in the first place you might ask? Well let me tell you, like I said before, no topic is off the table here at DHOP and especially topics that attack the divinity of Christ, providing a false means to salvation, but sending men into eternal damnation instead. These topics I will talk about and unfortunately ‘transhumanism,’ falls into this category of falsity, as you will shortly find out. Now Mr. Buckminster Fuller was famous for creating the “Knowledge Doubling Curve”; and he noticed that until 1900, human knowledge doubled approximately every century. By the end of World War II, however, knowledge was doubling every 25 years. But on average according to Fuller, human knowledge today is doubling every 13 months!” – Pastor Carl
