The Rapture – Part 2

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“We will continue today with our topic of the Rapture of the Church. Now ever since Israel’s disobedience and rejection of Christ as Messiah, they’ve been put on hold. You see, God’s plan has multiple threads running through it. Remember the church began on the Day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2 and ends at the rapture, when the Lord Jesus returns for His beloved bride. Then once we the church are ‘gathered in the air’ to meet the Lord Jesus, the spiritual clock will begin again for the Jews and ‘Daniel’s 70th week’ will commence. We should remind ourselves that the Old Testament’s focus is the nation of Israel primarily and the New Testament is written to the Church. We must acknowledge that both ‘the church’ and ‘the rapture’ were mysteries concealed within the Old Testament, ready to be revealed within the New Testament. We must always ask the question when reading any chapter in the Bible, ‘to whom is it written?’, ‘when was it written?’ and ‘by whom?'” – Pastor Carl

The Rapture – Part 1

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“Now, we at DHOP believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, who’s coming to receive His beloved bride in the air, prior to the seven year tribulation period, which is soon to come upon this earth. Eight times in the New Testament we’re admonished to look for the soon return of Jesus Christ. However at no time is the church instructed to look for the Antichrist. We’re looking for Jesus, not the Antichrist, because the church will never see the Antichrist! We will in fact be long gone before he arrives upon the scene, so I hope you’re not too disappointed in hearing this news. Isaiah Chapter 24 describes ‘the great and terrible Day of the Lord,’ which will only be experienced by those who’ve rejected Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, during this dispensation of grace. First Thessalonians 1:9-10 describes how we the church will be delivered from ‘God’s wrath to come,’ which is the great and terrible tribulation period, described in the Book of Revelation.” – Pastor Carl
