The Majestic Human Body

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“Did you know you are the crowning achievement or pinnacle of God’s creation, which is the supernatural tripartite infusion of spirit, soul and body? As I’ve said before, our spirit man contacts the spiritual realm, our soul is able to access the intellectual realm and our human body contacts the physical realm. Our focus today is the majestic physical body. Now, how could anyone in their right mind claim the human body with its 206 bones and 639 muscles could have possibly spawned from an ‘algae’ in a fish pond…are you kidding me? But of course, those that make this false claim of ‘particle to person’ are blinded to the truth of the Gospel by Satan himself. They’re unable to receive God’s truth concerning our Genesis as a consequence of their own blindness. God’s word literally reveals this in 2 Corinthians 4:4, where it says 4 ‘In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.’– Pastor Carl

Should women be in ministry?

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“Gentlemen, it’s time to close your ears because we’re talking to the ladies today and more specifically about a woman’s role in the ministry. All joking aside, in truth gents you need to hear this broadcast too because we’re often the ones guilty of discriminating against women in ministry, so we need to perk up and listen intently to this message. Now some conservative denominations think women should just keep quiet in church and forget about the ministry altogether and they use two of the Apostle Paul’s statements to back this up; namely 1st Corinthians 14:34 and 1st Timothy 2:12. However, we must study scripture in context and in light of its Geographical and Historical setting, for accurate interpretation. Remember, ‘context determines meaning’ and we would be amiss to ignore these important and pertinent contexts when reading these controversial passages.” – Pastor Carl

Which bible should I read?

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“There are 217 modern day English translations of the Bible and one of the questions I’m often asked down the years is, “Pastor, which one of these Bible versions truly represents the word of God?” …Now that’s a great question. I will start out by saying that God can use any translation of the Bible for His glory; He can even use inferior paraphrased versions in some cases to get His point across. However, there’s only one Bible version that hasn’t been corrupted by modern scholars but it will take me some time to explain which one it is and why I believe so. Heck we know God can lead someone to Christ with one sentence from any Bible; that’s the power of the Holy Spirit in action. The Bible says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Timothy 3: 16-17). But the question then becomes, which Bible translation in our possession today is truly regarded as ‘Holy Scripture’?” – Pastor Carl

Purge Yourself

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“Your faith won’t go further than your understanding of God’s word. An absence of knowledge about a subject in the bible leads to doubt. Once you have a ‘hint of doubt’, then your ability to believe in God’s promises will be hindered in some way. Once you understand God’s word, your faith will rise in the glorious God we serve and your doubt will dissipate rapidly. Once you have understanding, you’ll better be able to trust God for specific areas in your life. Friend, a faith that’s not practical is no faith at all. We need to make sure the promises of God leap from the pages of our bibles and into our hearts. Once His word abides within us, we may better appropriate these promises in our lives. When the word of God abides in you, get ready to see God move powerfully in your life (John 15:7). ” – Pastor Carl

Testing vs. Trial

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“Did you know that God tests us and it’s scriptural for Him to do so? There’s a tendency for some Christians to think every kind of opposition in their life is ‘from the devil,’ when in fact it could be the Lord refining, chastening or correcting their character issues which need to be addressed. Not every opposition is ‘a work of the devil.’ Yes we need to be cognizant of our enemy’s schemes and devices certainly but we’re also in a perpetual process of being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. We need to know the difference between God’s ‘testing’ and Satan’s ‘trials’ or ‘sifting.’ We must be scripturally balanced and realize that after we’re born again and saved by faith in Christ, we automatically enter into a process of sanctification. During this process God purges away our old habits, so that we’re able to experience more freedom in Christ and finally conquer habitual sin in our lives. Because our God loves us so much, He won’t leave us in our current condition.” – Pastor Carl

The Dangers of Transhumanism

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“There’s a strange movement today that seeks eternal life without going through the Savior. This movement seeks to utilize the very latest technologies to enhance man under the banner of ‘Transhumanism.’ Now why on earth is a Pastor even talking about this in the first place you might ask? Well let me tell you, like I said before, no topic is off the table here at DHOP and especially topics that attack the divinity of Christ, providing a false means to salvation, but sending men into eternal damnation instead. These topics I will talk about and unfortunately ‘transhumanism,’ falls into this category of falsity, as you will shortly find out. Now Mr. Buckminster Fuller was famous for creating the “Knowledge Doubling Curve”; and he noticed that until 1900, human knowledge doubled approximately every century. By the end of World War II, however, knowledge was doubling every 25 years. But on average according to Fuller, human knowledge today is doubling every 13 months!” – Pastor Carl

The Gift of the Discerning of Spirits

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“The ‘gift of the discerning of spirits’ is one of the three revelation gifts, the others being ‘the word of knowledge’ and ‘the word of wisdom.’ The most important of the revelation gifts is ‘the word of wisdom,’ because it reveals the future plans and purposes of God. Next would be ‘the word of knowledge,’ because it reveals the present or past will of God and finally, the ‘gift of the discerning of spirits,’ which is our focus in this broadcast. Now, let’s be clear from the outset, nowhere in the bible does it mention a ‘gift of discernment.’ Discernment by definition is, ‘the quality of being able to grasp and comprehend that which is obscure.’ This may be a skill that you’ve acquired in life, but it’s certainly not the biblical gift of ‘the discerning of spirits.’ You might even be good at discerning or predicting the behavior of your friends, family or colleagues, based on the diligent observations you’ve made about them but this is not the ‘gift of the discerning of spirits.'” – Pastor Carl

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“The Apostle Paul spoke by inspiration of the Holy Spirit to the Church at Corinth when he said,” Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant” (1 Cor 12:1). There is indeed much ignorance concerning the spiritual gifts in the church today and that’s partly why I’m embarking upon a series of broadcasts (nine in fact), that will cover in detail, each of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. In some churches people know absolutely nothing about the gifts of the Holy Spirit or don’t even know if they operate today, which is very sad. Some ministers even preach the spiritual gifts have been ‘done away with.’ Friend this is nothing but ignorance gone to seed. Some have even gone so far as to write books or doctoral theses about God’s weakened condition in these last days and He can no longer assist the church in the spiritual gifts operation, as He once did.” – Pastor Carl

God speaks to us today

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“It’s crucial that you know God speaks to you today and not only that, but He strongly desires and yearns for this communication. Now religious people will fight me tooth and nail on this, but by the end of this broadcast you will know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the Lord still speaks today. In fact He actually craves for a time of fellowship with you, daily. Let me start out by clarifying that God sees you as a unique individual and thinks about you often. Do I have proof of this? I sure do. Check out Psalm 139:7-18, 17How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! 18If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You. God clearly wants to communicate with you as this scripture attests. His thoughts towards you are almost countless and He loves you so much!” – Pastor Carl

The Fear of the Lord

Here’s a teaching snippet:

“Let me ask you; is it a good thing to have a ‘fear of the Lord?’…Well the term, ‘fear of the Lord’ is mentioned 30 times in scripture and the vast majority of occurrences are in the Old Testament. But there are however, well over one hundred references to the fear of God in a positive sense. Now what does it really mean to have a “fear of God” or a “fear of the Lord?” Well the word ‘fear’ in Hebrew is usually either pa-khad or yir-ah. Pa-khad means ‘terror’, ‘dread’ or the literal emotion of fear that one experiences in dangerous situations. The other Hebrew term for ‘fear’ is yir-ah and in contrast means ‘piety’, ‘a state of reverence’, ‘worship’ or ‘awesomeness.’ So which one of these definitions best describes the reverential fear we should harbor for our Father in Heaven? The answer is both.” – Pastor Carl
