What are the Titles of the Holy Spirit?

flamesoffireThe Holy Spirit is mentioned numerous times in Scripture under different names. Let’s take a look at the various names attributed to the Holy Spirit, but first, let’s review the triune nature of God.

Three Personalities of God

We worship one God with three personalities. A simple analogy to this is an egg. It is one egg unit, yet it has a shell, yolk and the white. Another similar example is water. Water can be found in three forms: ice, steam or fluid. An egg has three components to its structure just as water exists in three embodiments. God is God, yet He represents himself in three forms: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Another important truth about the precious Holy Spirit is that He is equivalent to God, “Now the Lord is the Spirit” (Amp) 2 Corinthians 3:17. If you have received Christ into your heart, then the Holy Spirit lives in you (1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 6:19, 2 Corinthians 6:16, Ezekiel 36:27, 2 Timothy 1:14, Ephesians 5:18, etc).
